Prosthetic devices manufacturer Steeper Group has expanded its portfolio with the introduction of new myoelectric upper limb system.

Steeper stated that the full limb build is designed to provide patients and clinicians across the world with a durable and high-capacity upper limb system at an affordable cost.

The Steeper myoelectric system consists of a new Myo Kinisi hand, which offers an easy to control and high-speed grasp alongside a strong grip force to carry out daily activities.

The myoelectric system also features an auto-grip function, which enables to provide a more secure grip on difficult to hold objects.

Steeper Group and SteeperUSA CEO Paul Steeper said: “a new myoelectric system is something our customers have desired for some time.

“We’ve used our innovative knowledge of upper limb prostheses to deliver an evolution to a myoelectric system; using the latest advancements in product design, super capacitor technology and modern materials such as titanium for increased strength.”

The hand is said to be complemented by advanced myoelectrodes for enhanced accuracy and improved control.

Steeper’s new system is supported by the new high-capacity S-Charge System, which is provided with a 3500mAh internal battery.

The prosthesis is perfected by the Elegance Plus cosmetic glove, which is specifically designed to complement the Myo Kinisi. The company is offering the Elegance Plus Glove in 19 TrueFinish shades.

To help enhance durability for even high activity users, the system features an internal reinforced mesh layer. To offer improved realism to the skin appearance, enhancements have been made on the knuckles, joints and nail finish.

According to the company, clinicians are provided with the flexibility to programme the Myo Kinisi to meet exacting patient preferences with a choice of five modes.

Steeper Configuration Device, a simple three button operation programming hub with an easy-to-read screen, allows to make fine adjustments to control parameters.
