Pylo Health, a provider of remote patient monitoring devices, has introduced two next-generation mobile-connected patient monitoring devices, Pylo 900-LTE and Pylo 200-LTE.

The Pylo 900-LTE is a blood pressure monitor, while the Pylo 200-LTE is a weight scale.

Both devices are clinically validated and can connect to multiple cellular networks for reliable data transmission.

They can be used with the Prevounce remote care management platform and integrated into independent health management systems through the Pylo cloud API.

Also, healthcare organisations can personalise the 900-LTE blood pressure monitors and 200-LTE scales to deliver a consistent brand experience.

Pylo said that it has designed two devices, and their packaging to enable easy customisation, facilitating the addition of logos, taglines, patient inserts, and more.

Pylo and Prevounce founder and CEO Daniel Tashnek said: “Ongoing remote blood pressure and weight monitoring are low-barrier and highly effective additions to primary care, cardiology, gastroenterology, bariatric, and other remote care programs.

“Cumbersome, unreliable hardware can get in the way of programs realising their full clinical and financial potential. We’re excited to introduce new Pylo devices that are not only highly advanced, accurate, and dependable, but also comfortable and simple for patients to use.”

Pylo said that the 900-LTE is its latest blood pressure monitor intended for patients enrolled in remote patient monitoring (RPM) programs for hypertension and related chronic conditions.

The blood pressure monitor comes with roaming 4G/5G connectivity and 2G fallback features, requires no configuration and connects patients located even in rural areas.

It features a new, remotely configurable ‘triple measurement mode’, which automatically collects a sequence of three readings to meet the latest American Heart Association guidelines.

Pylo’s new 200-LTE weight scale also comes with the company’s roaming cellular connectivity and requires no patient setup.

It measures the patient’s weight accurately up to 0.1 lbs and securely delivers the measurements to care teams monitoring patients enrolled in RPM programs.

The modern, low-profile design of the system facilitates ease of use for patients, while its simplified packaging lowers shipping costs for healthcare organisations.

Also, the 200-LTE is a more economical and compact alternative to its 300-LTE Plus scale for patients weighing less than 450 lbs, said the medical device company.
