The new laser offers the same CO2 tissue sparing properties as OmniGuide’s Intelliguide Fiber Enabled Laser System, but differs in the way in which the laser energy is delivered.

OmniGuide has been present in the field of laser surgery for the past 18 years and has pioneered in delivering CO2 laser energy via its unique flexible fiber portfolio.

In manner not similar to disposable flexible fibers, C-LAS is a Line of Sight laser which relies on an articulating arm to deliver CO2 laser energy.

With C-LAS Laser System in place, it is claimed to widen the array of surgical lasers offering minimally invasive surgical procedures and offers patients with more available treatment options with the precision of CO2 laser energy.

The C-LAS Laser System claims to be offering precise laser delivery via a 7-joint spring balanced articulating arm. It is a versatile system that allows clinicians to customize treatment for their patients by having multiple lasing modes including continuous, single, repeat and SuperPulse options.

Additionally, the laser system is compatible with several incisional handpieces as well as a micromanipulator. This ensures controlled laser delivery in manner directed by the clinician.

The laser also includes a bright 16mW Helium-Neon aiming beam which provides optimal visualization and tissue targeting.

OmniGuide Holdings CEO John Buhler said: “We remain dedicated to offering clinicians a complete portfolio of patient safety-centric CO2 laser energy solutions to benefit their patients’ surgical needs. The C-LAS CO2 Laser System not only complements our flexible fiber based systems, but also provides the hospital with a precise and versatile option for surgical situations requiring a line of sight laser.”
