VitalHub has acquired UK-based Alamac, a provider of technological and advisory solutions to healthcare organisations.

The company has made the acquisition through its wholly-owned subsidiary The Oakgroup for a purchase price of £1,850,000.

Established in 2010, Alamac offers technological and advisory solutions to help healthcare organisations across the NHS diagnose and monitor performance on a daily basis.

By developing advanced enabling technology solutions, the company offers streamlined data analytics to healthcare providers. Its solutions allow health systems and hospital teams access actionable intelligence and insights.

Alamac’s platform consists of four major products, including Patient Safety, Patient Plan, Patient Outcomes and Patient Flow.

Patient Safety is designed to ensure the suitability and adequacy of patient care by using metrics, while Patient Plan helps provide diagnostics to increase the sustainability and performance of services.

Patient Outcomes allow to refine patient care programmes through the measurement of treatment results, while Patient Flow will enable to offer transparency across emergency care services to enhance resource utilisation and capacity balancing

The four solutions are said to help health systems to improve operational performance and governance, in addition to elevating patient pathways and quality of care through a redesign of services.

VitalHub CEO Dan Matlow said: “We are delighted to have acquired Alamac, as we continue to progress and execute on our growth strategy, which includes both M&A and organic growth.

“Alamac has extensive experience building and implementing robust Patient Flow Business Intelligence systems across the NHS, with offerings that are highly synergistic with our Transforming Systems solutions.”

VitalHub offers technology solutions to health and human services providers, including hospitals, regional health authorities, mental health, long-term care, home health, community and social services.

The company’s solutions are used in the categories of electronic health record (EHR), case management, care coordination, patient flow and operational visibility, and DOCit Mobile apps.
