Virtua Health has adopted Nuvon's Vega System for its enterprise-wide device connectivity infrastructure needs.

Virtua said it has implemented Vega System with its enterprise-wide device connectivity to the Picis Peri-Operative System.

The Vega System through its integrated, scalable, secure, and cost-effective web-based platform provides device connectivity and integration across the complex healthcare ecosystem – from the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU) to the patient’s home – powered.

The current and complete medical data are available at all times so that doctors can make the best clinical decisions for the patient.

Virtua Health VP and CIO Al Campanella said they also recognized that their needs would expand beyond the boundaries of their four hospital facilities.

Nuvon president and CEO Cathleen Asch said the ability to collect and integrate device data across disparate devices, networks, and systems to provide clinicians with accurate, complete, and timely data to make the best medical decisions for their patients has been the goal in healthcare for many years and this is what defines Nuvon’s mission.

Nuvon said its VEGA System is also implemented by other hospitals including the Cleveland Clinic, Good Shepherd Medical Center, Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego, Temple University Health System, Denver Health and Hospital Authority, and others.
