Varian Medical Systems, Inc. (Varian Medical), a manufacturer of medical products for treating cancer and other medical conditions, will exhibit the full spectrum of the company's cancer treatment and X-ray imaging products, including some made available for the first time in China, at the upcoming China Med 21st International Medical Instruments and Equipment Exhibition in Beijing from March 19 to March 21, 2009.
The products include Clinac iX medical linear accelerator, Eclipse radiotherapy treatment planning software and ARIA cancer treatment management software, GammaMedplus afterloader and a broad array of X-ray tubes and the company’s PaxScan line of flat-panel digital X-ray image detectors.
“Varian is committed to offering customers the largest selection of X-ray tubes and digital image detectors to serve in a broad range of applications,” said Hsiao-Li Pan, manager of Varian’s X-ray products distribution business in China. “We will exhibit a variety of X-ray tubes, including one capable of completing a full CT (computed tomography) scan in half a second.”
“Varian is pleased to be showcasing its radiotherapy and X-ray products at China Med this year and to be expanding its operations in China,” said Ling Zhang, Varian’s marketing manager in Beijing.
