Standards Council of Canada (SCC), a Canadian GLP monitoring authority, has granted good laboratory practice (GLP) certification to Wax-it Histology Services.
Wax-it Histology Services is involved in providing general histopathology (paraffin and frozen), immunohistochemistry (general IHC, antibody testing/validation, cross-reactivity studies), GLP and non-GLP histopathology for preclinical toxicology studies.
In addition, the company provides resin/plastic histopathology for implantable medical devices and bone.
Wax-it Histology Services president Aruna Somasiri said GLP accreditation validates the company’s compliance to GLP principles.
"We are pleased to operate a GLP compliant facility which will allow us to continue to provide high quality, GLP and non-GLP histopathology support to our current and future clients," Somasiri added.
