Swiss healthcare company Roche has launched its cloud-based digital solution, navify Sample Tracking, to help laboratories track the test samples of patients during their journey to lab premises.

The company has designed the navify to lessen the potential quality challenges during the diagnostic test sample journey, mostly out of the lab setting.

According to the Swiss firm, navify Sample Tracking can give more control to lab managers by accessing and combining applications to customise and scale the solution to meet their lab’s particular needs.

It also aids in the early monitoring and evaluation of diagnostic test sample quality before samples even arrive at the lab.

To enable quick, secure pre-integrated PPA innovation into any laboratory workflow, navify directly interfaces the lab with PPA solution vendors, the laboratories’ information system (LIS), and the middleware cobas infinity lab.

Roche Diagnostics Roche Information Solutions head Moritz Hartmann said: “Labs have incredible possibilities today to digitally transform their operations using insights to improve quality and operational efficiencies, not just for the lab, but for the entire healthcare system. More importantly, patients benefit when we can reduce sample errors from the start.

“By working together, as a strategic partner with deep healthcare expertise combined with our flexible, scaleable navify portfolio of integrated digital solutions, we believe labs can play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare.”

The navify Sample Tracking ecosystem is supported by companies like Deigma, BinaryTech, Etheclo, Inpeco, Smart4Diagnostics, Tracie Healthcare Solutions, and robominds.

The latest solution is now accessible to markets in Europe, with intentions to become global in 2024.

Roche said that healthcare systems may connect data streams from lab and point-of-care operations with navify digital technologies. This digital infrastructure links Roche and non-Roche systems and enables large-scale, secure data stream integration.

Furthermore, the navify integrated solution portfolio includes solutions like navify Control, navify Monitoring and navify Analytics.
