Precision health company One Drop has introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI) enabled solution for the prevention of cardiovascular disease.

The new AI-enabled CVD prevention module has been developed by One Drop in collaboration with Bayer.

Through an user-friendly mobile app, the One Drop members are placed on a healthy path by personalising care, gathering data and providing actionable insights.

Bayer Pharmaceuticals CIO and digital and commercial innovation head Jeanne Kehren said: “The new CVD prevention module comes from combining our respective expertise to jointly bridge the gap between healthcare and technology.”

The One Drop CVD prevention module provides various ways to improve an individual’s health, including connected medical devices to help lower heart disease risk.

The One Drop app enables to automatically track blood pressure and weight captured by medical devices from Withings, alongside food, medications, physical activity, glucose, and A1C from multiple other integrations.

By combining behavioral science principles, data science, and customised educational content, the CVD prevention module helps in guiding the One Drop members towards positive habits in weight management, physical activity, and diet.

It helps in sodium and fibre tracking, as well as offers direct access to health management professionals specialised in CVD for personalised support and regular progress check-ins.

One Drop’s machine learning algorithms supports the CE-marked analysis engines behind glucose forecasts and blood pressure insights, said the company.

One Drop commercial solutions and corporate strategy EVP Rachel Yap Martens said: “The life-altering potential of our cardiovascular disease prevention module would not have been possible without the support and deep expertise from our strategic partner, Bayer.

“The CVD prevention module is one of many outputs to come, thanks to our productive partnership that will help countless people improve their lives.”
