UK-based medical technology company LREsystem has entered into a partnership with Ortho Consulting Group (OCG) to commercialise its restorative elbow joint system dubbed LRE System (Lateral Resurfacing Elbow).
As part of the partnership, Ortho Consulting Group has been given an equity position in LREsystem.
According to Ortho Consulting Group, the agreement will help to create and maintain a network of distributors for engaging orthopaedic experts in order to launch the LRE System.
LREsystem has developed the restorative elbow joint system using 3D digital imaging technology. It is claimed to be the first-of-its kind radiocapitellar joint resurfacing system that aims to restore the elbow’s normal range of movement through restoration and not replacement of the elbow joint.
Ortho Consulting Group will also collaborate with LREsystem to find and connect with appropriate investment partners in order to accelerate the latter’s business growth.

Designed by surgeons with over 40 years of experience, the LRE System is said to have been gathering clinical data in the UK and Europe for almost 15 years.
The clinical data that has been collected is claimed to have shown that patients have improved their elbow function significantly with faster restoration of ability and lower rates of complications than other surgical treatment options.
