US-based Kimball Electronics has launched a new business unit, dubbed Kimball Medical Solutions, to serve medical customers.
Kimball Medical Solutions, which will serve as a single-source partner for all medical manufacturing requirements, will provide multifaceted manufacturing solutions for the medical market.
By using all areas of capability within Kimball Electronics, the new business unit will facilitate speed to market through the complete lifecycle.
The new medical business unit will provide electronics manufacturing, precision injection moulded plastics, contract manufacturing, assembly and packaging services.
Kimball Medical Solutions will also offer sterilisation and cold chain management, custom automation services and test systems, machine vision and artificial intelligence, and design engineering services.
Kimball Electronics chairman and CEO Don Charron said: “Our unified approach to providing innovative solutions and specialized services for the medical market from all of our areas of expertise and capabilities will enable our medical customers to increase their speed to market.
“We want Kimball Medical Solutions to be a single-source for our customers’ medical manufacturing needs.”
Since 1999, Kimball Electronics has been serving the customers in the medical market. The company manufactured millions of medical devices, drug delivery devices and solutions, medical electronics, and single-use devices.
With operations in the US, China, India, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Thailand, and Vietnam, Kimball Electronics offers manufacturing services for a variety of industries.
