Canon Medical Systems USA, a commercial subsidiary of Canon Medical Systems Corporation, has agreed to acquire imaging equipment distributor and service provider NXC Imaging.

Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, NXC is a medical imaging equipment distributor and service provider across the US Upper Midwest.

Expected to close in the third quarter of 2022, the deal will strengthen Canon Medical Systems USA’s sales and service channels across the US Upper Midwest of its imaging products.

Canon’s diagnostic imaging portfolio includes computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET), magnetic resonance (MR), X-ray (XR), vascular imaging (VL), and ultrasound (UL).

Canon Medical intends to keep expanding its sales and service operation, providing advanced solutions and distinctive business models adapted to each client’s particular requirements.

In April 2021, Canon Medical Systems USA received 510(k) clearance from the Food and Drug Administration for its Deep Learning Spectral CT for expanded capabilities in cardiovascular applications.
