Strathspey Crown Holdings subsidiary Alphaeon has acquired Canada-based Clarion Medical Technologies, for around $55m.

Established in 1989, Clarion supplies medical and aesthetic equipment and consumables for hospitals and private practices in Canada.

Alphaeon CEO Robert Grant Robert Grant said: "We view Clarion as a leading provider of lifestyle healthcare products in Canada and are thrilled to combine their products and experience with our platform."

Formerly known as Coherent-AMT, Clarion has around 100 employees, 36 sales representatives and over 40 product licenses, according to Alphaeon.

Clarion Medical Technologies founder and chairman Dan Webb said: "In Alphaeon, we have found a company whose values and approach to working with physicians and clinics aligns with ours.

Alphaeon is a lifestyle healthcare company that works with board-certified physicians to provide innovative products and services.

Strathspey Crown is an equity firm specializing in lifestyle healthcare and its investors include board certified physician specialists across key medical specialties, comprising plastic surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, dentistry and orthopedics.
