HeartSine Technologies, a developer of personal and public access defibrillators, has appointed William Samuel (Uel) McChesney as the new president.

McChesney will succeed Gregory Cash, who served as president and CFO for over four years.

His core competencies include operational experience in organic sales growth, international market penetration and product innovation programs, as well as, aggressive performance improvement and cost optimization strategies.

Most recently, McChesney served as director of Ferness Partners, a UK based business.

Prior to that, he was CEO of Survitec Group, a supplier of safety and survival equipment to commercial, defense and off-shore oil and gas markets.

HeartSine Technologies chairman of the Board Bernard Collins said HeartSine is gaining significant market share as a result of strategic positioning of their automated external defibrillator solution offerings for the treatment of Sudden Cardiac Arrest, such as the HeartSine samaritan PAD 300P Public Access Defibrillator (PAD), as well as, stronger B2B alliances with partners.

"Uel brings the strategic and operational expertise we need to sustain our high growth rates and further increase our growing share of the automated external defibrillator market. He’ll be based out of our Belfast office which is mission-critical to us as we build a high-growth customer-focused workforce," Collins said.
