Aerocrine has entered into a strategic alliance with Meditab Software, a provider of fully integrated and certified electronic health records and practice management solution, for the Allergy offices across the US.
They supply electronic medical records (EMR) product for the Allergists, a primary call point for Aerocrine that will also comprise measurements of airway inflammation performed with NIOX MINO.
NIOX MINO is a hand-held device that provides reproducible and immediate measurement of fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FENO), a validated method for assessing asthma-related airway inflammation.
NIOX MINO received 510(K) market clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration for clinical use in May 2008.
Meditab chief operating officer Kal Patel said Meditab Software, as a provider of a complete solution for Allergists and Pulmonologists they are excited to offer an integration with Aerocrine’s NIOX MINO.
"This integration will allow the providers to accurately record and trend FENO data directly within the electronic medical records to improve patient outcome," Patel said.
