Intel Atom Opens the Path to Mobility for Embedded Applications
By
The embedded computer market has seen a rapid evolution. In the complete embedded market, the x86 architecture dominated high-end embedded applications until 2008. Since 2009, the year the Intel Atom processor was introduced, it has been possible to enter even more power-critical applications. This white paper looks at Intel Atom based designs which are expected to replace more and more microcontrollers within the embedded market.
