Tungsten carbide can have cobalt (Co) or nickel (Ni) as a binder. Tungsten-carbide nickel is resistant to corrosion and non-magnetic. Material hardness and bending strength are influenced by the relative percentage of binder and the grain size selected for the WC. The grain size can be between 0.5µm and 5µm.
