Derived for example from biobased PLA resin, a biopolymer originated from corn starch, these products can be certified biodegradable and compostable and do not significantly contribute to CO2 emissions since the base polymer is generated from annually renewable sources. At present, we can offer commercially available natural, transparent and coloured bio-plastics, even with natural pigments derived from vegetable source to make appealing disposable parts such as cups, spoons and other dosing systems. The latest bio-plastic formulations comprise PLA reinforced with cellulose, wood dust or glass fibres and halogen-free V0 flame proof PLA.
