"Our customers highly appreciate our local presence in Tyrolia," says Thomas Hachmann, Country Manager for World Courier (Austria) GmbH.
"This close proximity is uncommon in the logistics industry where service providers typically manage accounts from neighbouring countries. With a local office, we now speak the dialect of our customers and can react very quickly when it comes to quotations, quality agreements and non-disclosure agreements. Combined with our superior service capabilities − delivered in a fully GxP-compliant environment − and our new temperature-controlled facilities, we intend to strengthen the relationship with local customers and enhance our position here by offering exceptional value-added service."
World Courier’s Innsbruck office is strategically located some 180 kilometers (110 miles) from Munich (Germany), a major European gateway. It is fully equipped with a +5oC walk-in refrigerator cell, allowing for the handling of large containers of temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals.
The office also maintains four -26oC freezers, a +20oC controlled ambient area and a warehouse able to accommodate all types of Dangerous Goods except Class 1 (explosives) and Class 7 (radioactive materials). Specialized staff and vehicles meet both IATA Dangerous Goods and Accord européen relatif au transport international des marchandises Dangereuses par Route guidelines for the transnational transport of hazardous materials.
