A case study of the Amber was made available on-site to the conference attendees and was well received. Innovative initiatives such as integrating NFC within labels were also featured on the device, allowing users to link to the device specifications online by simply placing a smart phone on top of the label. This can of course be configured to link to other tools such as IFUs and videos to further assist users with correct usage.
Interest continued to be apparent for the Molly™ auto injector, which appealed to many biopharmaceutical customers due to its compact size and business model. A corresponding case study was also available on the Molly at the conference, highlighting the device’s original design concepts as well as how the various challenges were overcame during development. A third case study on the PPI™ Injector wrapped up the set of three SHL case studies that were officially launched at the conference. All three case studies are now available for download in the case studies area.
Commenting on the success of this year’s conference, VP of global marketing Steven Kaufman expresses, “Conferences like the PDA help us connect with various customers and partners and give us the opportunity to speak to them face to face. Having a large booth and several SHL staff with broad experiences on-site allowed us to not only demonstrate our latest technologies, but also to gain insight into the needs of biopharma customers at a high level. I commend the PDA for their efforts in making the talks interesting and technical, and of course their success in attracting a diverse number of companies that clearly need auto injector and pen injector support.”
Furthermore, SHL was featured in the latest edition of the On Drug Delivery and Drug Development and Delivery magazines, both of which were distributed at the PDA.
