SHL to Showcase Latest Innovations at PDA Universe of Pre-filled Syringes & Injection Devices

At the center of this exhibition are SHL’s designs for high volume and high viscosity formulations. SHL will debut the ground-breaking Maggie®, a two-step cartridge-based solution for high-volume injections and needle isolation technology to prevent metal leachables from contaminating the drug product. Also on display are the Bertha®, an auto injector that features a continuous clicking mechanism to enhance usability and safety, and the Rotaject®, a cutting-edge constant force technology that allows for the delivery of highly viscous formulations of up to several hundred centipoise. SHL representatives would be happy to demonstrate these devices along with other services and capabilities available through SHL’s comprehensive network, including development, manufacturing and commercialization solutions.

Corresponding with this year’s exhibition theme, “improving patients’ outcomes with innovative drug delivery,” SHL will also introduce its range of digital initiatives for digital health, connected technology and therapy management. Representatives from renowned developers of advanced drug delivery systems will also be available to talk about the company’s comprehensive capabilities and commercialization solutions for faster time-to-market.

“The recent surge in biologics and biosimilars, along with the continuous need to improve treatment outcome and patient adherence, have made the need for innovative and intuitive delivery devices more evident than ever. SHL has a full range of solutions to meet that need. We’ll be in Vienna to meet pharma companies where they are and to help them take the next step,” said Magnus Fastmarken, the global marketing director of SHL Group.

Markus Bauss, the managing director of SHL Connect, will share his expertise in talks at a pre-conference workshop on Nov. 6 as well as at the main event. At the conference, he will deliver a presentation titled “Injectable Drug Delivery – Rethinking Best Practice in Manufacturing based on Smart Objects & Intelligent Machinery.”

The two-day exhibition will be held Nov. 7-8 at the Austria Center in Vienna, Austria. Visit SHL at Booth X73-75 to find out more about its drug delivery devices and comprehensive solutions.
