Special cargo transportations, achieving a growth of 52% on year-on-year basis, played a crucial role in this outstanding performance. When the months of February in 2017 and 2018 are compared in terms of carried tonnage, Turkish Cargo performed approximately 14 tons of special cargo, and achieved a growth of 45% in valuable cargo operations, 18% in vulnerable cargo operations, 64% in perishable cargo operations, 53% in heat-sensitive medicinal cargo operations, and 50% in dangerous goods cargo operations, making its mark once again in special cargo transportation operations carried out with the efforts of dedicated teams.

The air cargo carrier acts in compliance with the guidelines provided by IATA (International Air Transport Association) at its cargo terminal, equipped with the encompassing and high-quality security systems, keeping the maximum level of safety and customer satisfaction on its primary focal point.

As the fastest-growing air cargo brand all around the world, Turkish Cargo launched new lines in 2018, continuing to expand its flight network. The new cargo routes include Taipei (Taiwan), Miami (USA), Toronto (Canada), Zaragoza (Spain), Houston (USA), Bogota (Colombia), Liege, Brussels (Belgium), Muscat (Oman), Mexico City (Mexico) and Vilnius (Lithuania). It is planned to expand the cargo flight network with the new routes of Quito (Equator), Karaganda (Kazakhstan), Tokyo (Japan), Navoi (Uzbekistan), Abu Dhabi (UAE), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and Misurata (Libya) by the end of this year.
