Oqtopus is based on the well-known i.MX31C ARM11 processor from Freescale, and offers high flexibility,
thanks to the complete interfaces set and the powerful on-board FPGA, which allows to dramatically extend the range of applications, adding IP cores and other customised interfaces. Oqtopus features on-board NOR
and NAND flash memories as well as support for high resolution displays. Moreover, it offers some peripherals not natively provided by the i.MX31C processor, as Ethernet and 3.3V GPIOs), together with a reduced form factor, low power consumption and smart power management.
With Oqtopus, a customer can build a new embedded system, reducing the time-to-market due to the use of a CPU module, and concentrating on further differentiating the final products by focusing only on the
design of the host board and the custom application.
