HemCon Medical Technologies reported that its Japanese partner Zeria Pharmaceutical has obtained regulatory clearance from the Ministry of Health Labor and Welfare for the HemCon Bandage, GuardaCare and ChitoGauze product lines.

Zeria Pharmaceutical will begin sales in Japan through its subsidiary, Zeria Shoji.

Under the agreement signed between HemCon and Zeria in April last year, other products in the HemCon family will be added to Zeria’s offerings, with various distribution and sales mechanisms to be employed.

HemCon newly appointed president Nick Hart said they are pleased with the progress Zeria has made in getting our products approved and launched for sale in Japan.

"We look forward to additional product introductions and continuing to expand on this key partnership in Japan," Hart said.
