US-based medical device company Zavation has introduced new ZVPlasty Vertebral Augmentation System to treat spinal fractures.

The system has been developed for use in vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty procedures to treat vertebral compression fractures in the lumbar or thoracic regions, which are induced by primary or secondary osteoporosis, cancer or trauma.

ZVplasty system comprises streamlined set of manual instruments, which allows physicians in accessing vertebral body, and helps to prepare a site for a vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty procedure.
