The system builds upon the core principles of the original system such as implant modularity and intramedullary-guided instrumentation for surgical accuracy and reproducibility.

Wright Medical said the INBONE II Total Ankle Replacement System provides surgeons with a broader implant offering and further improves the system’s surgical instrumentation.

Improvements in the INBONE II instrumentation are also intended to permit the surgeon to optimally place the implant components based upon each patient’s biomechanical profile.

The system will be made available immediately in the US through Wright Medical’s specialized Foot and Ankle sales force.

The system will also be marketed in select countries outside the US through the company’s direct and distributor-based sales representatives.
