WL Gore & Associates has received European CE mark for Gore Propaten Vascular Graft for haemodialysis.

Arteriovenous (AV) Grafts are used to create a conduit for repeated blood access during hemodialysis.

The grafts allow the blood to be withdrawn from the body and cleansed when a patient has end stage renal disease (ESRD), also known as kidney failure.

The Gore Propaten Vascular Graft utilises a unique covalent bonding technology known as Carmeda BioActive Surface (CBAS), which adheres heparin to the graft surface.

The graft also features an expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) material with excellent handling properties and flexibility for ease of use.
