Chadha is president of Balcorp Limited, an international trade and marketing firm, which he founded in 1976 and built into a successful company with about $100 million in sales and offices in Montreal, New Delhi and Mumbai. Balcorp has diversified interests in agri-food products, forestry products, minerals and services.

Chadha is also a well known philanthropist and a leader of the Indian community in Canada. He has been a key player in a number of international trade missions and treaty development processes. He also sits on the Board of Governors of Concordia University, has advised the Office of the Mayor of Montreal on Indo-Canadian affairs and has served on the advisory board of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce. In 2003, he was appointed by Prime Minister Jean Chrétien to the Security Intelligence Review Committee as well as the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada.
