Virtual Radiologic (vRad) has entered into collaboration agreement with Icon Medical Imaging (ICON).
ICON Medical Imaging provides medical imaging-based product development services to the medical device, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
The collaboration enables Icon Medical Imaging to have access to the vRad’s subspecialty expertise and to obtain interpretations provided by vRad’s fellowship-trained radiologists.
The use of imaging in clinical trials facilitates pharmaceutical industry to assist in measuring early results, thereby reducing timeline for bringing effective drugs to market, and saving costs and lives in the process.
Icon Medical Imaging president Ted Gastineau said as a partner, vRad offers them access to radiologists covering all subspecialties who also have the benefit of a very impressive body of clinical work, with documented quality.
vRad CEO Rob Kill said they look forward to work with Icon Medical Imaging to efficiently evaluate their clinical trials.
