VisEn Medical, Inc. (VisEn) has appointed John McCool as vice president, sales, Americas of the company, Rob Sandler as senior vice president, marketing and the promotion of John Kleijne to senior vice president and general manager, Europe. This management expansion is another key foundation in furthering the company’s mission of providing academic, industry, and clinical institutions worldwide with leading solutions in translational fluorescence molecular imaging.
McCool joins VisEn from Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he was the North American director of sales for the laboratory automation and cellular imaging businesses. Previously, he held senior management and sales positions at Tecan US, Beckman Coulter and Amersham Pharmacia Biotech. Sandler comes to VisEn from VisualSonics where he was vice president, marketing. While at VisualSonics, he helped commercialize three generations of the company’s products and grow the company from inception to a leading global operation in in vivo imaging. Sandler previously served as vice president, managing director at Grey Interactive Canada, and global marketing manager at Visible Genetics. Kleijne joined VisEn in 2007 from GE Healthcare after having run GE’s Pre-clinical imaging business in Europe. Prior to his tenure with GE Healthcare, he was chief commercial officer at Kreatech, Amsterdam. Kleijne also held senior management and sales positions at both Pyrosequencing and Amersham Life Sciences.
McCool, Sandler and Kleijne join VisEn’s research and development, clinical and operational management team at VisEn: Wael Yared, chief technology officer; Karen Madden, senior vice president, corporate development & external research; John Ziolkowski, chief financial officer, and Kirtland Poss, co-founder, president and chief executive officer.
