Gardes served as product manager at Europe based Stryker Spine in 1995 and held the position of Knees & Spine Sales & Marketing manager at Stryker Spain in 1996.

Until 2002, he served at Stryker Orthopaedics as a team leader Hips, Europe, and then as Spine, Global group product manager.

Gardes joined the Medtronic group as division manager Europe, Spine at the end of that year and was promoted to the position of Business Unit Manager, Spine & Biologics, France in 2004, and then became Regional Business Director, France & Iberia, in 2007.

He also served as general manager at Barcelona based CR Bard in September 2008.

Vexim CEO Vincent Gardes said he is delighted to be joining the company having a minimally invasive approach to treat vertebral fractures with the SpineJack.

"We are going to do everything we can to accelerate the product’s commercial deployment and deliver benefits to as many patients and physicians as possible" Gardes said .

The SpineJack is a titanium implant (5 mm in diameter and 25 mm long) that covers 80% of spinal column fractures (vertebrae TH10 to L5).
