Vention Medical, a medical device outsourcing company, has purcahsed all the assests of Ireland-based Ansamed.
Ansamed provides advanced medical tubing solutions, including multilayer, co-extrusion and multi-lumen extrusion capabilities, and catheter design, development and manufacturing services.
The acquisition allows Vention Medical to expand its capabilities in the development and manufacturing of specialty catheter-based devices used in a range of interventional and surgical procedures.
The acquisition also allows Vention to add Ansamed’s technology in extrusion and braided tubing to its portfolio of balloons, shrink tubing and catheter assembly.
Further, Ansamed will offer a strategic presence for Vention in Ireland and serve as a base for further European and International expansion.
Ansamed MD Bairbre Meehan said the combined business will allow them to bring even more solutions to their mutual customers, as well as to new customers.
