Vention Medical announced that is has expanded its catheter capabilities in Costa Rica to create a Catheter Center of Excellence.

This dedicated facility enables Vention to add to its comprehensive suite of catheter technologies which now range from design and development through high-volume manufacturing in a low-cost geography, offering customers the most cost-effective, innovative catheter-based devices on the market.

The dedicated site brings together key component technologies such as medical balloons, multilayer extrusions and reinforced shafts with leading-edge materials including polyimide and polyetheretherketone (PEEK).

It also offers dedicated resources that bring specialized experience in critical assembly processes such as laminating, tip forming and laser bonding.

This investment enhances Vention’s capabilities as a strategic partner, combining its core expertise in components and catheters with assembly and manufacturing technologies. It also expands the technical support resources to provide customers with a complete solution to their catheter-based device needs.

Vention Medical specializes in components and services used in interventional and minimally invasive surgical products including catheters, balloons, extrusions, polyimide and composite tubing, heat shrink tubing, braid-reinforced shafts, cleanroom injection molding, and finished device assembly and packaging.
