Medical technology company Shenzhen Veepoo Technology has unveiled a new medical smartwatch called VEEPOO WATCH RIG.

Featuring multiple health monitoring functions, the smartwatch offers EKG/ECG monitoring service to efficiently identify a series of heart diseases such as atrial fibrillation and premature beat.

The medical smartwatch has the potential to track and analyse 13 kinds of cardiac diseases, in addition to generating and exporting medical EKG/ECG waveforms via the health management software VeepooHealth.

Veepoo’s smartwatch is said to capture effective EKG/ECG signals in a quick and immediate manner when symptoms related to cardiac disease are appearing.

The wearer can use the EKG/ECG emergency mode of RIG when he feels palpitation, dyspnea, chest pain, chest tightness, blackout, numbness of limbs and other related physical reactions.

It will commence the EKG/ECG signal acquisition work within three seconds to collect and record the current EKG/ECG signal in the watch.

Upon completion of the event, the EKG/ECG waveforms will be exported from VeepooHealth to further analyse heart health.

The medical smartwatch is provided with biosensor monitoring technology and multi-channel optical monitoring technology.

It is also integrated with multiple other health functions such as all-weather, high-precision continuous dynamic heart rate tracking, medical-grade oxygen saturation continuous tracking, full-time scientific sleep tracking, sleep apnea tracking analysis, application of Lorentz scatter analysis of HRV (heart rate variability).

Veepoo stated that clinical studies in China are being carried out on VEEPOO WATCH RIG to apply for China class II medical device certification.

Started in 2012, Shenzhen Veepoo Technology is a health wearable science and technology innovation company.

The company claims to have received more than 40 invention patents in the field of health-wearable devices, including scientific and accurate monitoring technology and software algorithm for resting pulse rate, exercise pulse rate, and oxygen saturation, among others.
