Vascular Solutions and Shepherd Scientific have entered into a distribution agreement, under which Vascular Solutions distributes US Food and Drug Administration 510(k) cleared Shepherd Scientific’s Angio Assist and Teirstein Edge products in the US.
The Angio Assist is an easy-to-use docking station that facilitates the introduction of guide wires into interventional devices including catheters and atherectomy burrs.
The Teirstein Edge is a device organiser designed to organise guide wires and catheters during interventional procedures.

Shepherd Scientific founder Paul Teirstein said that the Angio Assist and Teirstein Edge were designed to overcome everyday challenges during interventional procedures and the goal was to make procedures easier, and he was pleased that they are able to bring the devices to physicians nationwide through Vascular Solutions’ team.
