Varian Medical Systems is set to display its new PaxPower X-ray tubes and new PaxScan X digital flat panel detectors.
PaxPower X-ray tubes utilizes the company’s patented anode-grounded technology and are designed to be combined with the Varian’s PaxScan digital detectors for filmless imaging.
PaxScan X flat panel detectors are designed for faster imaging frame rates, improved low dose imaging and 16-bit data acquisition.
Varian Medical Systems imaging products engineering vice president Rick Colbeth said all of Varian’s PaxScan digital flat-panel detectors will soon be available in the DX configuration, which combines the new X technology with their proven D-type interface.
"The DX platform enables integrators to easily migrate between any of the dynamic detectors in the PaxScan product line," Colbeth said.
