The new business, Cimphoni Life Sciences, will use engineers, industrial designers, physicians and research staff to convert laboratory research and clinical discoveries into medical devices.
Cimphoni Life Sciences is partnering with the Medical College of Wisconsin to develop medical solutions to be used in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of both acute and chronic illnesses.
The partnership will initially focus on developing devices and treatments for osteoporosis and fracture healing, as well as immunochromatographic assays for the diagnosis of periprosthetic joint infections.
The collaboration will also develop solutions by using nano-scale technology, which can be used in the in vivo diagnosis of periprosthetic joint infections.
