US Endoscopy, a manufacturer of endoscopy devices, has launched Raptor grasping device.
The device has the same properties of rat tooth and alligator devices which provide strength and precision during foreign body retrieval.
The Raptor device’s single-use design aids in minimizing the risk of cross-contamination and eliminates the need for reprocessing.
US Endoscopy CEO, president, and co-chairman Gulam Khan said the Raptor device offers clinicians the versatility needed to quickly and securely retrieve sharp objects such as safety pins, razor blades.
