Integrated multi-specialty health care provider University General Health System has purchased Jacinto Medical Group's sleep and imaging center in Baytown, Houston, Texas, US.

The acquisition expands the ambulatory surgical service business, which the University General Health System provides to the Baytown community.

The deal is expected to contribute over $5m in annual revenue and an estimated $1.6m in annual EBIDTA (a non-GAAP measurement).

University General Health System chairman and chief executive officer Hassan Chahadeh said the company believes that acquisition will be accretive to its strategic plan of developing an integrated health care delivery system.

"We are delighted to continue building upon our constructive relationship with Jacinto Medical Group and look forward to additional growth in this part of the Houston metropolitan area," Chahadeh added.

The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

Jacinto Medical Group chief executive officer Siraj Jiwani said, "Our association with University General has been outstanding, and we expect to continue providing a quality of patient care that is consistent with the high standards set by the hospital."
