Universal Health Services has signed an agreement to buy certain assests of Weslaco - based Knapp Medical Center (KMC).
The assets involve a 226- bed acute-care hospital, the Knapp Surgery Center, Mid Valley Physician Association (PHO), Knapp Medical Group.
Universal Health Services operates its functions through its subsidiaries including acute care hospitals, ambulatory centers and behavioral health facilities.
Universal Health Services CEO and chairman Alan Miller said they are thrilled to have been chosen to continue Knapp Medical Center’s tradition of providing high quality healthcare in this important market.
