United Medical Instruments has entered into a collaboration agreement to distribute Toshiba America Medical Systems' ultrasound systems to the private physician office and clinic market in the US.
Toshiba ultrasound business unit director Tomohiro Hasegawa said the private office space has a growing need for ultrasound solutions, especially for musculoskeletal applications.
"Toshiba’s ultrasound systems offer cutting-edge visualization features with breakthrough technology, and we are looking forward to making a tremendous impact in the office market," Hasegawa added.
United Medical Instruments president and CEO Mansoor Ghanavati said the company is looking forward to provide Toshiba’s line of ultrasound solutions to the obstetrics and gynaecology, musculoskeletal, vein and pain management markets.
"The innovative ultrasound solutions from Toshiba provide an excellent opportunity for physicians looking to take their practice to the next level," Ghanavati added.
