The Ulthera system helps in the natural formation of collagen and elastin in the skin, giving it the ability to lift tissue on the face, neck, decollete, knees and arms.
Ulthera has selected a distributor of dermatology devices, Arfamex, to distribute the Ulthera system in the Mexico.
Ulthera president and CEO Matthew Likens said the company anticipates an adoption rate of the system by Mexican medical professionals due to the demand for safe and effective non-surgical solutions to treat the aging skin.
Ulthera said the Ulthera system has also received the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for use in a non-invasive treatment of the face to lift the eyebrow to achieve a desired aesthetic effect.
