Universal Hospital Services (UHS), a provider of medical equipment management services, has appointed William Mixon as the company's president.

Previously Mixon served as cheif excecutive officer (CEO) and president of US Investigations Services, (USIS), a provider of background investigations to the federal government.

Mixon also held a variety of senior level positions at Philips Healthcare.

UHS Chairman and CEO Gary Blackford said Bill has a proven track record in government services and health care of establishing strategic initiatives to achieve successful business results, expand markets and improve productivity.

"His background aligns perfectly with UHS’ commitment to create solutions for health care facilities that reduce costs, increase clinical and operational efficiencies and support optimal patient outcomes," Blackford said.
