U-Systems has entered into a collaboration agreement with VIP Breast Imaging as they expand their imaging centers across Canada.
The ABUS system uses proprietary technology to automate the breast ultrasound imaging process and is suited for the high-volume, screening environment.

U-Systems recently received the Health Canada approval to sell the somo v ABUS system as an adjunct to mammography to screen asymptomatic breast cancer in women in the 27 European Union countries.
VIP Breast Imaging founder and president Tina Ureten said the somo v ABUS has been proven effective in women with dense breast tissue who have an increased risk of breast cancer.
