The Orthopaedic Implant Company (OIC), a developer of orthopaedic implants, has introduced Pedicle Screw system.

The Pedicle system, used for stabilization and fixation during posterior spinal fusion procedures, is comprised of poly-axial pedicle screws, rods and cross connectors.

The system’s set screw design prevents cross threading, while its components are color-coded by size for easy identification.

OIC VP business development Mark Medina said, "Our pedicle screw product line represents a simple, intuitive system that can save hospitals and surgery centers up to $3,000 per fusion level."

The company said it will display its pedicle screw product line at the 10th Annual Orthopedic, Spine and Pain Management-Driven ASC Conference held between 14-16 June 2012 in Chicago, Illinois, US.
