Medical devices provider Teleflex has partnered with HealthTrust for peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) and tip location devices.

The deal will allow HealthTrust members to have access with an extensive line of Arrow PICC and tip location devices, including Arrow PICC with Chlorag+ard Technology and Arrow VPS Vascular Positioning System.

The Arrow PICC with Chlorag+ard Technology is said to be effective in reducing microbial colonization and thrombus accumulation on catheter surfaces.

The Arrow VPS Vascular Positioning System has been developed as an alternate method to fluoroscopy or chest x-ray for central venous catheter tip placement confirmation in adult patients when a steady Blue Bullseye is obtained.

Teleflex vascular division general manager and president Jay White said: "At Teleflex, we are committed to providing high-quality, clinically relevant products that aim to enhance patient outcomes, reduce hospital costs and improve efficiencies.

"We are pleased to continue achieving that goal through our relationship with HealthTrust, and ensuring more hospitals have access to technologies that help protect patients as well as the hospital’s bottom line."

HealthTrust provides services to around 1,350 hospitals and in more than 15,000 other locations, including surgery centers, physician practices, long-term care and alternate care sites.
