Technimark, a global manufacturer of custom rigid plastic packaging and components, announced the launch of its new medical division, Technimark Healthcare.

Technimark Healthcare’s launch follows Technimark’s recent acquisition of Ci Medical Technologies.

The new division expands Technimark’s healthcare business by combining its global footprint, technical capabilities and financial resources with Ci Medical’s blue-chip customer base and decades of experience in the healthcare market, including product development, scientific molding, contract manufacturing, assembly, packaging and logistics.

Technimark Healthcare will service global customers from its 14 manufacturing facilities across North America, Europe and Asia.

The company laid the foundation for rapid growth in its healthcare business over the past 18 months by doubling the size of its facilities in Germany and China and building new state-of-the-art facilities in Mexico and Asheboro, N.C. Operations at Technimark Healthcare facilities meet applicable ANSI and ISO standards and FDA regulations for the manufacture of its medical products, including insulin pumps, surgical tools and other specialized devices.

"We are proud to launch Technimark Healthcare and add Ci Medical’s track record and expertise to our healthcare offering," said Brad Wellington, CEO of Technimark.

"In the weeks following the acquisition, we have built a dedicated healthcare team that is already providing more value to customers by combining the strengths of Technimark and Ci Medical. The reception from both current and prospective customers has been excellent and we look forward to investing in a new phase of growth."

Ci Medical was founded in Pennsylvania in 1971 as Classic Industries, Inc. As the company grew, it specialized in injection-molded components for medical, pharmaceutical and healthcare applications worldwide.

Technimark is a world-class, custom injection molder for the world’s most admired companies and respected brands in the healthcare, consumer packaging and industrial markets. Technimark is one of the top 10 molders in North America with nearly 3,300 employees and more than 30 years in business.
