Toshiba America Medical Systems (TAMS) has received the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for its new Kalare HDR-08A imaging system.

The imaging system provides an intuitive user interface and an advanced image processing, increasing the dynamic range of fluoroscopy.

The imaging system aids clinicians to obtain more information from the images, resulting in quicker patient diagnoses, claims the company.

Toshiba X-ray Vascular Business Unit director Stephen Bumb said with an improved user interface and increased dynamic range, more exams can be performed with increased diagnostic confidence.
