Systagenix, which offers a line of products to meet the wound care needs of health care professionals, has rolled out Adaptic Touch non-adhering silicone dressing, a new primary silicone wound contact layer comprised of a cellulose acetate mesh coated with a soft tack silicone.

Some of the products offered by Systagenix include Actisorb Silver 220, Adaptic, Bioclusive, Dyna-Flex, Fibracol Plus, Nu-Derm Alginate, Nu-Derm Hydrocolloid, Promogran,Promogran Prisma, Regranex Gel 0.01% becaplermin, Silvercel, Silvercel Non-Adherent and Tielle & Tielle Plus.

Systagenix Global Marketing vice president Paolo Di Vincenzo said this is a contact layer that addresses the needs of both patients and healthcare professionals by protecting the wound, having maximum conformability, staying in place, being easy to remove, and minimising tissue damage and adherence to the secondary dressing.

Systagenix CEO Steve Atkinson said that Adaptic Touch makes silicone contact dressings more accessible to clinicians and patients around the world, helping relieve pressured healthcare budgets without compromising clinical performance.
