Urinalysis diagnostic testing equipment provider Sysmex Canada has launched a new series of hematology analyzers.

The new, smaller XN-L Series brings globally Sysmex XN technology to the lower volume segment of the Canadian market.

They can be used in smaller healthcare facilities that may not require the larger XN-Series analyzer.

The new hematology analyzers are suitable for labs that need a high quality backup solution.

Sysmex Canada general manager Carl Rocha said: “We are pleased to be able to offer the XN-L Series of hematology analyzers to the Canadian healthcare market.

“The XN-L Series complements our flagship XN-Series analyzers by serving the lower volume end of the healthcare spectrum.

“The XN-L can also serve as a high-quality backup for larger labs, especially those with an XN-Series analyzer, offering standardization of reagents and controls across all test volume segments.”

Sysmex Canada supplies a range of in vitro diagnostic hematology, urinalysis and clinical laboratory products to its customers. The company is a subsidiary of Sysmex America, which is part of Sysmex Corporation.

Sysmex America provides in vitro diagnostic hematology and clinical laboratory products in the US, Canada and Latin America.

In September, Sysmex America launched new research-use-only (RUO) single-color, monoclonal antibodies in the Americas.

The firm is providing the reagents in a range of fluorochromes, which can be used in academic and clinical research applications.

They can also be used in other applications, including pharmaceutical research, oncology, drug discovery and efficacy.
